4. Stay hydrated. It's a good idea to keep yourself topped up with regular drinks throughout your journey to stay hydrated. Dehydration is a big contributor to fatigue, so it will be difficult for you to stay awake if you're not drinking enough water. Water will satiate your thirst without letting you crash later on in the journey, unlike coffee or other caffeinated drinks.

5. Eat well. Last but not least, you must eat well if you want to remain sustained throughout your journey. Put the sugar and the snacks to the side in favor of some healthier options. Lean meat, fruit, vegetables, whole-grain bread, and other foods can aid to fuel your body for the rest of the journey.
